The name MAUP refers to the founder of our family business, where the third and fourth generations are now at the helm. Since our founding, we've been developing, transforming and managing exceptional properties in Amsterdam. What began as Caransa Groep split into two branches. MAUP is one of them, focusing on beautiful, unique Amsterdam properties. We honor our 75-year heritage while firmly looking ahead. While rooted in tradition, our vision is all about innovation.

Projects
The story behind our logo
We quickly settled on the name MAUP. It is a tribute to our founder and stands for Mooie Amsterdamse Unieke Panden ("Beautiful, Unique Amsterdam Properties"). We wanted our logo to reflect that story as well. That's why we commissioned artist Joseph Segaran to create a design featuring a selection of Amsterdam's most iconic buildings—landmarks that hold a special place in our story and identity.
